West Texas.

My week in Midland has been lovely thus far. Scott and I attended an improv comedy show on Thursday, took a walk through a wildlife preserve on Friday, bought me a pair of cowboy boots on Saturday, saw Winter's Tale on Sunday, and made Southwestern Stuffed Spaghetti Squash for his friends on Monday. He's currently at work, and I'm wasting the day away at the local Barnes & Noble. (Where else?) Tonight, we'll most likely open another bottle of wine, try out this shrimp jambalaya recipe, and continue making our way through the first season of Smallville. It's the simple things in life, folks.

P.S. Skillet S'mores is my new favorite dessert. We made those on Monday as well. Who ever said you need a bonfire to enjoy s'mores?
