“Jackie was a woman full of love and full of hurt. They were two private people, two cocoons married to each other, trying to reach into each other. I think she felt that since he was so much older than she was, that it was up to him to reach more than he did. But he couldn't.” | Christopher Andersen, Jack and Jackie: Portrait of an American Marriage

I'm taking a research seminar on the JFK assassination this semester—fitting considering November 22, 2013 will be the 50th anniversary of the Dallas shooting—and I can't get over how fascinating the stories surrounding the Kennedys are. Jack and Jackie were an interesting pair, to say the least. Beautiful on the outside, but so broken behind closed doors.

What are your views on the Kennedys? Do you think they're worth all of the hype?
