Introducing With Candor Wellness.

UPDATE (as of January 2022): I’m no longer providing nutrition consulting services through With Candor Wellness. However, You can still access my wellness content and resources through the link below.

It occurred to me this morning, as I sat down to write a blog post for my other website, that I have not even mentioned my new nutrition biz on this blog! Which, if you ask me, is a crying shame—because With Candor is my bread and butter, my first baby, the digital space where I made my foray into blogging a whole TEN years ago as a junior in high school. (We've come a long way, people.)

As most of you know, I graduated from the Nutritional Therapy Association as a consultant in May, and have hustled since then to build my business from the ground up. Now that it's a reality, I thought it time to introduce you, my lovely readers, to With Candor Wellness—like what I did there?—my nutrition consulting business.

You can read everything you need to know on my website, but as this biz is my most recent brainchild, I'll use any excuse to brag on it just a bit. Let me brag.

In a nutshell, With Candor Wellness offers nutrition consulting for the modern woman experiencing: diet mentality, PCOS or other hormonal imbalances, infertility, weight gain, digestion issues, low energy/libido, or confusion surrounding health and wellness.

Of course, I go into detail about what nutritional therapy is, how it can help, and what working one-on-one with me actually looks like.

But it's not only about coaching. I want WCW to be a space that women flock to for health advice, meal inspiration, product recommendations, and real talk spanning a variety of topics such as mental health, body image, disordered eating, wellness news, diet culture, fertility, fitness, etc.

Already on the blog, I've opened up about my own story and struggles with PCOS, hypothyroidism, and disordered eating throughout my teens and 20s (+ how I overcame them), and I'll continue to share parts of my personal health journey, along with bite-sized pieces of wellness wisdom thrown in the mix.

Something else I'm super excited about (that pertains to the business) is my new endeavor as a Beautycounter consultant! Never in a million years did I think I would intentionally sign on to sell beauty products, but for me, this opportunity is so much more than that. I wholeheartedly believe in Beautycounter's mission to make safer beauty accessible to everyone, and I could rave about their initiative (and why it's important) for hours! So why not get paid to do just that?

On top of the perks of becoming a consultant is the social aspect: The direct retail business model is all about making connections and spreading the word to as many people as possible. While I tend to be introverted and love keeping to myself for the most part, Beautycounter has really helped me to step outside of my comfort zone and reestablish contact with old friends and reach out to new acquaintances I hoped to get to know better. Let's just say, I've had more coffee dates on my calendar in the last two weeks than I have in all of 2019—a fact that truly makes me giddy. Regardless of whether someone ends up wanting to buy products or get involved with BC, there's nothing that fills my heart with joy more than good conversation with a sister over coffee.

All this to say, basically, I'm in a good place. I'm fulfilled in what I'm doing and at the pace I'm doing it, and to be honest, I can't remember the last time I felt this way. (Her Story Goes came reeaaalll close, but that was more of a hobby than a career.)

However, since this blog is based on candor, I'll admit: Finding nutrition clients has been tougher than I imagined. And yes, while I enjoy all of the other things that go into running a business—content creation and marketing, mostly—my real passion lies in working one-on-one with clients. (This is also the part that pays the bills. Yep, it's true: Mama's gotta eat!) That said, if you know anyone—male or female—who could benefit from my services, or simply would like a hand to hold in their journey to health, please send 'em my way. I'd be forever grateful. *enter heart emoji here*
